What JP Data Partners Does

We build and operate data platforms for Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies. We connect source systems, model the data in Snowflake, and deliver dashboards — then we keep it running.

The company was founded by data engineers who spent years building data infrastructure at enterprise scale. We saw the same data problems repeat across PE-backed companies and built reusable tooling to address them.

What We Stand For

Snowflake + dbt

We build on Snowflake for storage and dbt for transformation. Each client gets an isolated database with standardized schemas.

Reusable Data Models

Our ontology maps common business entities (revenue, customers, costs) across source systems. New clients start from working models, not from scratch.

Config-Driven, Not Custom

Source mappings are YAML configuration, not bespoke code. This keeps deployments consistent and reduces the surface area for errors.

We Run It

This is a managed service. We handle pipeline monitoring, schema changes, dbt model updates, and incident response. Your team focuses on using the data.

What We Build

Three products that cover the pipeline from source data to portfolio-level reporting.

Who This Is For

PE Firms

  • Mid-market funds ($500M–$5B AUM)
  • 5–15 active portfolio companies
  • Operating partner or VP Portfolio Ops role
  • E-commerce or consumer-focused portfolio
  • Looking for a managed data solution, not a DIY platform

Portfolio Companies

  • $20M–$200M revenue, PE-backed
  • Running Shopify, NetSuite, Salesforce, or HubSpot
  • Finance team reporting from spreadsheets
  • No data engineer on staff
  • Need to improve reporting for their PE sponsor

Not a fit: Large enterprise PE ($10B+ AUM) with existing data teams, or companies that want to build and own their data infrastructure internally.
